Moms need breaks!! It’s so important to prioritize your health as a woman and mom. Moms need self care in their daily routines! It can be so easy to forget about yourself while taking care of your kids and the million other things you have to get done, but this needs to be prioritized. It doesn’t have to be something so expensive or time consuming if you don’t want it to.
I’ve compiled a list of things that can help a busy mom relax and unwind. I’ll list them from least to greatest cost $$$.
1. Take A Bath
One of my favorite relaxing things to do is to take a warm bath. I can bring a book or watch a movie on my phone or just sit in silence and think. It can help relax your muscles. You can even use epsom salt and bath bombs.
2. Read A Book
Reading is so great for letting you visualize a different world then you are currently in. I get sucked into books so much that it feels like I’ve watched a movie of it or was actually apart of it.
3. Pray And Meditate On Scripture
As a Christian, I am able to walk with the Lord throughout everything that happens in my life! It’s amazing that the God of the Universe actually cares about me and you. If you need rest, ask him. If you need peace, ask him. If you need patience, ask him. He will give you what you need if you ask in faith and with the right intentions.
Reading scripture can help you better put things into perspective. It can give you hope and freedom through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. If you are in need of prayer, click this link to send a prayer request right to me that I will pray over.
4. Go For A Walk (BY YOURSELF!)
Walks are a type of medicine for me! Being able to walk by myself with or without music to listen to is so calming. I’m able to look at beautiful sites, get fresh air, get out of the house, be by myself, and just think about things.
It can be used for exercise as well. The sun gives you great vitamins and helps your mental and physical health.
5. Watch A Movie/ TV Show
Watching a movie can help relax you and take your mind off of stressful things. Pop some popcorn and get your favorite snack and drink and relax by yourself. It’s okay to enjoy things by yourself as a mom!
6. Order In Your Favorite Meal/ Snack
Being able to eat your favorite food without your toddler asking you for some every second is a big deal! It’s hard to enjoy food around your kids sometimes when they constantly ask you for some or ask for other things that you can barely sit down. Take some time to do this and enjoy it!
7. Get A Manicure And Pedicure
Having your nails done can make you feel so much more put together and feel more confident. It’s so relaxing to have a nice foot or hand massage and a massage chair as well.
8. Get A Massage
This can relieve so much tension and stress that you’ve been dealing with! Listening to calming music while getting a massage can help revive your mental and physical health.
9. Get Your Hair Done
Just like getting your nails done, getting your hair done can make you feel a lot more confident and happy. Having someone play with your hair while you get a cute, new hair style is a win-win for me!
10. Go Shopping
Some mom’s might find it overwhelming to go shopping in stores and would prefer online shopping. For others the best part of shopping is being able to get out of the house and actually try on and feel clothes or other items.
For those like me who’d prefer online shopping, there is a link to a clothing store down below that will give you great deals!
11. Go On Vacation
Of course not everyone has the finances or time to be able to go on vacation, but for those who do it can be a great option to reset. If you are wanting some good deals and coupons on air travel, hotels, and rental cars, look at the links down below!
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you enjoyed this. Remember, it is not selfish to have time for yourself and self care as a mom! Any questions or comments can be written down below or my contact page. 🙂

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it wont fail me as much as this particular one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read through, however I genuinely believed you would have something useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of complaining about something that you can fix if you werent too busy seeking attention.
I am sorry that I failed you. God bless
